Intralesional Injection
It is the method of direct delivery of medications percutaneously into skin lesions. It is effective for a wide range of indications, easily performed and relatively safe.

The drugs primarily used for intralesional injections are corticosteroids. E.g.: Triamcinlone acetonide.
Which are the conditions treated with intralesional injections?
- Chornic inflammatory dermatoses. E.g.: Psorias, Lichen simplex chronicus, prurigo nodularis.
- Treatment for keloidal scars.
- Alopecia areata.
- Acne cysts.
